Also known as ragged-toothedsharks, these quite extravagant animals are biologically placed among the Odontaspididae family. They are mostly found in the Indian and Atlantic oceans. This shark has a large second dorsal finn and measures to be about 10 feet tall.It weighs from 200 to 350 lbs which is quite light compared to other sharks. Most of these sharks are a brownish grey color. Unlike some better known sharks such as the Great White, possess a swim bladder wich lets it control its buoyancy. Their teeth are small, sharp and jagged. Their denture can impale many fish. At birth, sand tigers are already a meter long. The strongest pups eat the other embyros.
